The Phoenix Lands on Mars May. 25
A celebration of the landing of the NASA/University of Arizona Phoenix Mars Lander, live from "mission control" at the University of Arizona. Activities are planned at Kuiper Space Sciences Building, Sonett Space Sciences Building, Flandrau: The UA Science Center, and the UA Mall. After the landing, NASA turns over mission control to the U of A.
Music Under the Stars!
Tucson Pops Orchestra presents its Memorial Day concert, featuring program of patriotic favorites, including "Victory at Sea" and "Stars and Stripes Forever." All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. at DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center in Reid Park .
